Rob holds an LRSM performance diploma and a doctorate in Music from the University of Nottingham. His teaching draws on a repertoire that includes Liszt, Chopin and Haydn, alongside jazz, blues, rock and pop.

Music theory is woven into the practical work of learning an instrument. Exploring more improvisational styles helps connect theory, composition and improvisation, so the notes on the page become part of a wider musical picture.

Tuition is tailored to your aims, from exam-based qualifications to the simple enjoyment of playing. Lessons encompass technique, reading music and music history, with room to develop your own interests.
