The Legion of Doom
Four students, a shared love of heavy music, and an instrumental sound of their own.
The Legion of Doom formed at the University of Nottingham. From 2003, the instrumental metal band released three EPs and received coverage in Kerrang!, Rock Sound and other music publications.
With influences including Metallica, The Fucking Champs, Kyuss and Botch, the band toured the UK between 2003 and 2006, playing with acts including Will Haven, Skindred and Bullet for My Valentine.
After a five-year hiatus, the band returned in 2011 for a selection of shows promoting a self-titled compilation of the three EPs.
