From your first riff to a broader musical language. Explore the guitar through playing, reading and listening.
Alongside his early piano and theory studies, Rob played electric guitar and bass. His guitar teaching brings together technique, music theory and improvisation, giving students both breadth and depth.
His experience with Sanzen and The Legion of Doom informs a particular interest in hardcore punk and metal. The curriculum also draws on acoustic folk, 1950s rock ’n’ roll, blues, pop, rock and punk.
More than learning the part.
The emphasis is on understanding how to play the instrument, with students encouraged to explore different genres through playing, reading and listening. There is room for examination goals or simply pursuing the guitar as a hobby.
