Alongside piano and guitar, Rob is an established percussionist. His teaching philosophy encourages musicians to understand the instruments around them as well as their own.

For drummers, that includes making connections with melody and harmony. Rob describes using basic piano skills to help drummers take part in the wider musical conversation, just as basic drumming can help guitarists understand rhythm from another perspective.
