Having successfully gained a diploma in performance from the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music, Rob is currently preparing his LRSM Diploma programme and performance recital for his Masters Degree at the University of Nottingham.

Specialising in the works of Liszt, Chopin and Haydn, Rob readily explores the non-classical styles of jazz, blues, rock and pop. Incorporating aspects of music theory into the teaching of these more improvisational forms gives his students a rounded understanding of theory, composition and improvisation.

Tutoring is tailored to a student’s aims: from exam-based qualifications to simple play-for-pleasure enjoyment. Lessons encompass the many aspects of learning any musical instrument: technique, reading music and music history to name a few.
